34. International Oldtimer-Meeting Baden-Baden: vibrant open-air museum of automobile history
A highlight of the classic car scene in Germany is fast approaching. Only a few month from now, the 34. International Oldtimer-Meeting Baden-Baden is opening its gates from 09. – 11. July 2010.
This festival for automobile enthusiasts is being organised by Jean-Marc Culas since 1976 with a lot of heart’s blood and commitment. This year, the organizers are expecting over 20,000 visitors and 350 participating vehicles. From the rare limousine of the German chancellor Adenauer to the sporty Italian convertible, the classic vehicles will stir the blood of the visitors. Guest brand of honour this year will be Alfa Romeo. The traditional brand is celebrating its 100th jubilee in Baden-Baden.
The cars are presented in a marvelous and unique green setting in the Baden-Baden Kurpark with its picturesque brook the Oos. A lot of participants from Germany, France and Swiss are wearing historic costumes, matching their cars.
Additionally, in the Kurgarten of Baden-Baden the visitors can not only witness the nostalgia of the old cars, but also enjoy an extensive social programme. For example there will be fashion shows, jazz concerts and laser illuminations on Friday and Saturday evening.
The event traditionally is a Concours d’élégance automobile for cars constructed until 1970: a jury is awarding prizes to the 120 most beautiful pieces of automobile jewellery. The award ceremony takes place on Saturday afternoon and is the highlight and closure of the meeting. Before the ceremony, the 60 best placed cars are taking part in a corso through the city.

Friday, 09. July 2010, from 17 to 23 o’clock with Alfa Romeo night and fashion show and music
Saturday, 10. July 2010, from 9 to 23 o’clock with nostalgic garden party and jazz concert
Sunday, 11. July 2010, from 9 to 18 o’clock with award ceremony
