Participant Information

Since 1976 Baden-Baden is meeting place for Oldtimer fans and automobile enthusiasts from all over Europe.

Each year more than 350 automobiles of nine decades are presented in beautiful Baden-Baden with its pittoresque brook, the Oos. Next year, the organisers expect a total of over 20,000 visitors to enjoy the 35th International Oldtimer Meeting in July.

Over 30 years ago Jean-Marc Culas organised the 1st International Oldtimer Meeting Baden-Baden with 35 participating vehicles and approximately 1,000 visitors supported by Kurdirektor Prof. Burger and Erich Braxmeier. Due to experts of the classics scene this event is nowadays "Germany's most beautiful Oldtimer Meeting, a true open-air museum of automobile history within a marvellous green setting".

                                            Year by year the organisers succeed in inviting numerous automotive rarities to Baden-Baden. This scale of variegated brands and styles, extravagantly rare beauties of renowned manufacturers such as widely popular automobiles, can almost exclusively be found in Baden-Baden annually.

Guest brand of honour 2010 was Alfa Romeo. The quest brand of honour for 2011 will be Mercedes-Benz.

Oldtimer-Meeting – 2011

The event starts on Friday afternoon, 08 July 2011. On Saturday, 09 July and Sunday, 10 July 2011 the traditional Concours d'élégance automobile takes place in Kurgarten Baden-Baden.

Preceding this event there is a two day oldtimer excursion ("Rallye"):
On Thursday, 07 July the excursion will lead through the Black Forest; on Friday, 08 July we will be in the Alsace.

 

The event of 2011:

The International Oldtimer Meeting traditionally is a Concours d'élégance automobile.

The 120 most beautiful automobiles are awarded with goblets such as participants with the farthest journey or the most interesting "Oldtimer history".

 Besides condition and scarcity value of the automobiles the jury also considers "Costume d'époques" or floral decoration. The award ceremony in conclusion of the parade is closure and highlight of the event on Sunday afternoon. Automotive classics from all over Europe turn Kaiserallee into Germany's most beautiful open-air museum of automobile history.

Participation is open to Oldtimers of all brands constructed until the year 1970. Entry fee is 40 EURO per vehicle.
