Event motive 2011 released

The official event motive for this year’s Oldtimer-Meeting Baden-Baden has now been presented. The french automobile designer Daniel Picot was inspired by the automobile summer 2011 to show 125 years of automobile history in a watercolor. Traditionally, the vehicles of the guest brand of honor - which is Mercedes-Benz in 2011 – provide the motif for his artwork. The event poster will be available in a limited edition in July.

Baden-Baden medal: 125 years of automobile

A silver plated commemoration-medal is minted every year for the International Oldtimer-Meeting, which is given to every attendant at their arrival in Baden-Baden. This year’s motive – in automobile summer 2011 – is completely dedicated to the motto 125 years of automotive history.
Tradition demands the vehicles of the guest brand of honor – in this year Mercedes-Benz – are shown on the front of the medal. Therefor the Daimler Motorwagen (1886), a Mercedes Sport 25/26 (1902) and a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Coupé (1955) are displayed. The medal was designed bythe french automobile designer Daniel Picot once again this year.
